ABOUT ME

Hello, My name is John Tarr and I live in the town of Mesa, Arizona.

I was a professional photographer for over 50+ of my life before I became disabled. Images and design were in my blood from very early in my life so my transition to Graphic and Website design was very natural for me.

I have photographed everything from Weddings, Portraits, Landscapes and Wildlife in my life as you will see in different places of this website portfolio.

Photoshop was the first Adobe program I learned how to use because I was a photographer and I wanted to manipulate, correct and enhance images.  

I had always dabbled with Graphic Design when I was a professional photographer but when I became disabled in 2008, I decided to go back to school and study and receive an Associate Degree in Graphic Design.

I learned a number of Adobe products in school like Illustrator, InDesign, Desktop Publishing, Advanced Photoshop and Premiere Pro. I have freelanced Website Graphic Design since I graduated from school for the last 12 years.

While in school for Graphic Design, I also took classes in Website Design using Adobe Dreamweaver. Feeling that designing websites was an extension of Graphic Design and Photography for me.

I discovered WordPress while still in school and have not looked back.

I design many of my websites using a Theme called Divi made by Elegant Themes. It is a very powerful and robust page builder for WordPress.

I am also very good at SEO (search engine optimization) so websites can be found by search engines.
